Pharmacist / Pharmacist-in-Charge - MA

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An independent retail pharmacy in Massachusetts is seeking a Pharmacist or Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) for a 13-week contract assignment with the potential for direct hire. This is a great opportunity for an experienced retail pharmacist looking to step into a leadership role.

Position Details:

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Contract Length: 13 weeks with potential for permanent hire
Setting: Independent retail pharmacy
Pharmacy System: Computer RX
Daily Volume: Approximately 100 prescriptions per day
Support Staff: Three pharmacy technicians

Responsibilities:

Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy and safety.
Dispense medications and counsel patients on proper medication use.
Supervise pharmacy technicians and oversee daily pharmacy operations.
Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations.
Manage workflow, inventory, and quality assurance processes.
Provide exceptional customer service in a community pharmacy setting.
Lead pharmacy operations and support staff as the acting pharmacy manager.

Requirements:

Active Massachusetts pharmacist license.
Recent retail pharmacy experience required.
Previous PIC experience preferred, but pharmacists interested in advancing into a management role are encouraged to apply.

Compensation:

$62.00 per hour.
