Robert Half is partnering with a company in the Madison area to hire an experienced Software Applications Manager to lead a team responsible for enterprise business applications, system integrations, and application development initiatives. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on involvement, offering approximately a 70/30 split between managing a small team and contributing to enterprise application projects.

What You'll Do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of application analysts, developers, and business systems professionals.
• Manage the administration, support, and continuous improvement of enterprise business applications.
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver technology solutions that improve operational efficiency.
• Oversee application and integration projects from planning through implementation, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
• Prioritize team workload, allocate resources, and communicate project status to leadership.
• Support application integrations, data management, and reporting initiatives across multiple business systems.
• Maintain technical documentation, promote best practices, and drive process improvements.
• Evaluate new technologies and application enhancements that align with long-term business objectives.

• 3+ years of experience supporting or managing enterprise business applications.
• Previous leadership experience managing or mentoring technical teams.
• Experience leading application implementation or enhancement projects.
• Strong understanding of business process analysis and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience working in manufacturing or another complex operational environment is preferred.

Preferred Technical Experience

• Enterprise ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, Dynamics, Infor, or similar)
• CRM platforms (Salesforce, Dynamics CRM, or similar)
• Microsoft Power BI
• Enterprise application integrations
• SQL and reporting tools
• Jira or similar project management platforms
• Workato, Snowflake, or similar integration and data platforms
