Travel Surgical Technician (CST) – Prowers Medical Center, CO\nLocation: Colorado
Facility: Prowers Medical Center
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours/Week
Shift: Generally Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–2:30 PM, with rotating on-call coverage for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. May be required to stay late based on surgical case volume.

Position Overview
\nProwers Medical Center is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technician (CST) to join its Surgical Services team. The Surgical Tech plays a critical role in the operating room by providing technical support to surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia providers while maintaining a safe and sterile environment throughout surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields using aseptic techniques. \n
- Organize, manage, and account for surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment. \n
- Anticipate surgeon and procedural needs during operations. \n
- Pass instruments and sterile supplies during procedures. \n
- Assist with specimen handling and dressing application. \n
- Perform instrument decontamination, sterilization, and quality assurance testing. \n
- Inspect instruments and sterile supplies for proper functionality and sterility. \n
- Restock operating rooms and maintain adequate inventory levels. \n
- Support Sterile Processing Department functions as needed. \n
Requirements

- Certified Surgical Technician (CST) required. \n
- Minimum 5 years of current Surgical Technician experience. \n
- Must be registered as a Surgical Technologist with the State of Colorado. \n
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing, infection prevention, and operating room procedures. \n
