Required Qualifications & Experience\n

• MUST HAVE:\n

  • Level 1 Trauma experience required
  \n
  • Previous travel experience (NO first-time travelers)
  \n
  • Prior dedicated neuro unit experience
  \n
  • Heparin drip titration experience
  \n
\n
• Certifications:\n
  \n
  • BLS (AHA)
  \n
  • NIHSS
  \n
\n
• Licenses: Active IL license OR confirmation application process initiated at submission
\n
• BSN: Not required
\n

Clinical Skills Required\n

\n
• Common Diagnoses: Stroke, spine surgery, seizure, brain tumor, head injury, neuroscience patients, some medical overflow
\n
• Drip Titration: Yes - Heparin drips titrated based on PTT
\n
• RT Equipment: High flow for stable COVID only (rare)
\n
• Staffing Support:\n

  • Charge nurse 24/7 (no assignment unless short-staffed)
  \n
  • House supervisor 24/7
  \n
  • PCTs: Days 1:9-10, Evenings 1:9-10, Nights 1:10-12
