Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with 2+ years of experience for a day shift position at a short-term acute care hospital, with the ability to float between two campuses.

• Short-term acute care hospital setting in a Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics unit
\n
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
\n
• Every other weekend required
\n
• Charting via Epic
\n
• Floating between both campuses (sister facilities) may be required based on booking
\n
• No on-call required
\n
• 13-week contract
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience required
\n
• Community hospital experience required
\n
• Active state or compact RT license required (pending license not accepted); license required if applicable
\n
• Required certifications: BLS, CRT
\n
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, CPFT, NRP, PALS, RPFT, RRT
\n
• Must pass an Advanced EKG exam as part of compliance
\n
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
\n
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible
\n

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

• Scrub color: solid black or black and white
\n
• RTO is limited to a maximum of 4 days per contract, with approval of only 1 holiday
\n
• RTO requests are subject to manager's discretion
\n
• Previous travelers must have been away for at least 1 year before returning to this facility as a traveler
\n
• Day shift travelers may only extend once before needing to wait 6 months to be eligible to return
\n
• Pre-start orientation modules are required and must be completed before the assignment begins
\n
• Teaching hospital and charge experience are preferred
\n
• Preferred work setting experience includes: Adult Critical Care, LTAC, NICU, Pediatric Critical Care, Pulmonary Function Test Lab, and Pulmonary Rehab
\n
• Key clinical skills include ventilator management (BiPAP, CPAP, IMV/SIMV), airway management, ABG drawing and interpretation, bronchoscopy, tracheostomy care, and chest physiotherapy
