Travel Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Nights)

\n

Location: Evansville, IN
Shift: Nights | 3x12s (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
Contract: 13 Weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week (48-hour option available)

\n

Join a busy Medical Surgical unit at a respected teaching hospital known for its supportive leadership and collaborative team environment. This assignment is ideal for experienced Med Surg travel nurses looking for a rewarding opportunity in a fast-paced acute care setting.

Responsibilities\n

\n
• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult Medical Surgical patients.
\n
• Care for patients with post-surgical conditions, sepsis, COPD, CHF, UTIs, and other medical diagnoses.
\n
• Manage remote telemetry monitoring, chest tubes, NG/PEG tubes, Foley catheters, ostomies, PCA pumps, tracheostomies, Heparin drips, and blood product administration.
\n
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure excellent outcomes.
\n
• Float within your skill set as needed.
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active Compact RN License
\n
• AHA BLS Certification
\n
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
\n
• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical experience
\n
• At least 1 previous travel assignment
\n
• Level II Trauma experience
\n
• Recent Epic EMR experience
\n

• Night ratio: 1:6–7

• Experienced leadership with dedicated CNA support

• Every other holiday and 3 weekends every 6-week schedule
