HealthTrust Workforce Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN Ambulatory Care for a travel nursing job in Sanford, Maine.

- Provides patient care based on wound, ostomy and continence nursing guidelines, and applicable standards of care. \n
- Serves as a liaison for wound, ostomy and continence care concerns. Provides education to team members and participates in assigned committees. \n
- Assesses the physical, psychological, and social needs of assigned patients, and initiates data collection and assessment on assigned patients. \n
- Contributes to development of the plan of care for each assigned patient, using appropriate resources in collaboration with interdisciplinary care team. \n
- Initiates and implements nursing interventions, medical orders, and other related therapies. \n
- Collaborates with healthcare team to educate patient and support system. \n
- Analyzes, modifies, and implements strategies to progress the patient through their plan of care. \n
- Documents a patient record that is reflective of all patient care provided and the patient's response to the care given in accordance with professional standards. \n
- Monitors equipment and performs routine and complex treatments including ostomy care, \n
- wound care with draining of wounds and fistulas, percutaneous tubes and fecal and urinary incontinence care. \n
- Complies with mandatory reporting, legal consent, transfer protocols, and other requirements that preserve patient rights and ensure appropriateness of care. \n
- Provides a clean, safe, and secure environment for patients and others by following safety policies and procedures. \n
- May handle biomedical, pharmaceutical, hazardous and universal wastes per regulatory and accreditation requirements and standards. Understands and if assigned, \n
- demonstrates the ability to safety handle hazardous drugs which may include receipt, storage, compound, repackaging, dispensing, transporting and/or disposing of hazardous drugs. \n
