American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Ohio, requiring a minimum of 3 years of RN experience and current ACLS and BLS certifications.

Requirements\n

  • Active OH RN license or compact license currently in hand
  • \n
  • Current BLS/BCLS and ACLS certifications required
  • \n
  • Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
  • \n
  • Completion of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN)
  • \n
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • \n
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and make independent decisions
  • \n
  • Physical capability to perform heavy work, including exerting 50–100 lbs of force occasionally and frequent patient handling
  • \n

  • Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care using the nursing process
  • \n
  • Responsible for directing co-workers and delegating role-appropriate tasks to nursing assistants
  • \n
  • Duties include medication administration, treatment performance, and physician order implementation

  • Provides patient and family education throughout the admission-to-discharge process
  • \n
  • Documents nursing care thoroughly, concisely, and accurately
  • \n
  • Position requires the ability to manage urgent situations calmly and communicate empathically with patients and families
