American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Oncology position requiring at least 2 years of experience and a valid NC or compact RN license.
Details\n- \n
- 13-week contract in a hospital Med/Surg Oncology unit \n
- Night shift schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week) \n
- Every other weekend required \n
- Rotating holiday coverage required \n
- \n
- Active NC or compact RN license required \n
- Current BLS certification required \n
- ACLS certification may be required prior to performing clinical care on some units \n
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required \n
- Acute care/inpatient hospital experience preferred \n

- Responsibilities include coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process under physician direction \n
- Collaborates with an interdisciplinary care team to identify and pursue expected patient outcomes \n
- Assesses and anticipates discharge planning needs for patients and families \n
- Promotes infection control and standard precautions to maintain a safe hospital environment \n
- Annual competency assessments are required per documented competency checklist \n
- ACLS training and certification opportunities will be provided if needed \n
