Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Med/Surg Acute Care position with telemetry experience, working night shifts at a small community hospital in Bluffton, IN.

Details\n

\n
• Hospital setting with 40 licensed beds (including 10 swing beds) and 20 beds in the unit
\n
• Acute care medical/surgical unit with telemetry, progressive care, and swing care
\n
• Average daily census of approximately 10 patients
\n
• Patient ratios of 1:6 for acute care and 1:10 for swing
\n
• Cerner EMR (preferred)
\n
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, every 4th weekend
\n
• No on-call requirements
\n
• No floating required
\n
• Block scheduling is available
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active IN RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
\n
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred
\n
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg or Acute Care RN experience required; 3+ years preferred
\n
• Required skills: IV starts, nursing assessments, and telemetry monitoring
\n
• ICU drips experience preferred
\n
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
\n
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
\n
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
\n
• Candidates must have a valid driver's license
\n

Additional Information\n

\n
• 13-week contract
\n
• Navy blue scrubs required
\n
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
\n
• RTO is available up to 48 hours for a 13-week contract; RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
\n
• Every other holiday coverage is required
\n
• All certifications must remain active for at least 30 days beyond the contract start date
\n
