We are seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) to provide comprehensive nutrition assessment, intervention, education, and monitoring for patients in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized nutrition care plans and improve patient outcomes.
Responsibilities\n- \n
- Perform comprehensive nutrition assessments using the Nutrition Care Process (NCP). \n
- Identify nutrition-related problems and establish nutrition diagnoses. \n
- Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans. \n
- Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for patients with acute and chronic medical conditions. \n
- Assess and monitor nutritional status using: \n
- \n
- Nutrition-Focused Physical Exam (NFPE) \n
- Anthropometric measurements \n
- Biochemical and laboratory data \n
- Medical history and clinical findings \n
\n - Manage enteral and parenteral nutrition support. \n
- Monitor patient tolerance to prescribed diets, supplements, and nutrition therapies. \n
- Educate patients and families regarding therapeutic diets and nutrition management after discharge. \n
- Document nutrition assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). \n
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams. \n
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, committees, and nutrition-related projects. \n
- Develop and deliver staff education and community nutrition programs. \n
- Precept dietetic interns and students as assigned. \n
- Serve as a liaison between clinical nutrition services and foodservice departments. \n
- Maintain current knowledge of evidence-based nutrition practices and regulatory standards. \n
- Perform additional duties as assigned. \n

- Minimum 1 year of recent full-time experience (within the last 5 years) as a Registered Dietitian in: \n
- \n
- Acute Care Hospital \n
- Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) \n
- Inpatient Rehabilitation \n
- Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) \n
\n - Candidates with at least 1 year of experience within the past 8 years may be considered on a case-by-case basis. \n
- Experience performing Nutrition-Focused Physical Exams (NFPE) is required. \n
- Experience with Enteral Nutrition and Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) is required. \n
- Strong patient assessment, counseling, and interdisciplinary communication skills. \n
- Proficient with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation. \n
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills. \n
- \n
- Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics or a related field with completion of an ACEND-accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) and supervised dietetic internship if RD/RDN credential was obtained before January 1, 2024. \n

- Master's Degree in Dietetics or a related field with completion of an ACEND-accredited DPD and supervised dietetic internship if initial RD/RDN registration occurred on or after January 1, 2024. \n
- \n
- Current Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential issued by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). \n
- Active credential in good standing. \n
