RN - ER / Med Surg

\n

Job Details:

\n

• Work 12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours per week
\n • Every other weekend and holiday required
\n • 3 call shifts required per 13-week contract
\n • Float between Emergency Room and Medical Surgical units
\n • Provide Med Surg nursing care with up to 5 patients and function independently in the ER
\n • Med Surg nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 3 to 4 to 1 depending on census and acuity
\n • Unit has 25 beds
\n • Utilize Sanford One Charge, Pyxis, and EPIC charting systems
\n • Training includes EPIC computer training, 1 day of ER training, and 1 day of Med Surg training
\n • Dress code requires navy scrubs with no logos; white may be worn underneath or as a white lab coat
\n • Must badge in and out at facility
\n • 2 years of RN experience required
\n • Minimum 6 months of Med Surg experience in the past year required
\n • Minimum 6 months of ER experience in the past year required
\n • Must be able to function independently in the ER
\n • BSN not required
\n • Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NRP, TNCC (preferred)
\n • PALS required
