\n Registered Nurse (RN) – Interventional Radiology (IR) \n

Location: Billings, MT
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: 08/10/2026
Shift: Day | 4x10 Hours (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
On-Call Requirement: 1–2 nights per week and every 5th weekend (approximately 1 weekend per month)

Job Responsibilities\n

\n
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures.
\n
• Perform pre-procedure assessments, obtain patient history, verify informed consent, and prepare patients for IR procedures.
\n
• Administer and monitor moderate/procedural sedation while continuously assessing patient status.
\n
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, hemodynamic status, oxygenation, and vital signs throughout procedures.
\n
• Assist physicians during a variety of vascular, neurological, gastrointestinal, pulmonary, and genitourinary interventional procedures.
\n
• Manage arterial and venous access sites, perform sheath removal, and monitor vascular closure devices such as Perclose and StarClose.
\n
• Administer IV medications including antihypertensives, thrombolytics, emergency medications, and contrast-related therapies.
\n
• Start and maintain peripheral IVs and assist with central venous access and port placements.
\n
• Recognize and respond to procedural complications, dysrhythmias, bleeding, allergic reactions, and other emergencies.
\n
• Provide post-procedure recovery care, patient education, discharge instructions, and ongoing monitoring.
\n
• Collaborate with interventional radiologists, anesthesiologists, technologists, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
\n
• Maintain accurate documentation using Epic and adhere to radiation safety, infection prevention, and procedural protocols.
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active RN License (Montana license may be obtained after offer).
\n
• Minimum 2 years of recent Interventional Radiology RN experience.
\n
• Neuro Interventional Radiology experience is required.
\n
• ICU experience preferred (minimum 1 year preferred).
\n
• Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I preferred.
\n
• Current certifications:\n
