American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an interim Med/Surg Nurse Manager position at an acute care hospital in Minnesota, requiring active MN licensure and a background in Med/Surg nursing leadership.

- This is a change-agent role — the facility is undergoing significant departmental changes and is seeking a manager who can drive improvement and lead transformation efforts \n
- Responsibilities include overseeing staff scheduling, orientation of new and travel staff, and evaluation of staff readiness for independent practice \n
- Manages patient care coordination including admissions, transfers, and discharges, ensuring accurate documentation in Epic \n
- Leads regularly scheduled staff meetings and collaborates with the Education Specialist on competency assessment and staff development \n
- Works with the CNO and staff to ensure documentation standards reflect quality of care delivered \n
- Reviews and revises departmental policies and procedures as needed to maintain quality \n
- TNCC certification must be completed within 18 months of hire; RQI enrollment required within the first 3 months \n
