Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN for a night shift travel contract in Rockford, IL, requiring active IL licensure and TNCC or TNS certification.

  • Emergency Room (ER) department in a hospital setting

  • Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • \n
  • Weekend and holiday rotation required
  • \n
  • 13-week contract

Requirements\n
    \n
  • Active Illinois (IL) RN license required
  • \n
  • Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience required
  • \n
  • Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and either TNCC or TNS
  • \n
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program required; education verification will be required for consideration
  • \n
Additional Information\n

  • Responsibilities include patient assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care using the nursing process
  • \n
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to develop and execute individualized patient care plans
  • \n
  • Administers medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, standards of care, and state practice acts
  • \n
  • Participates in department performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance and peer review
  • \n
  • Applies critical thinking to patient safety and experience, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command
