Job Description
\n Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility will have a local rate of $73

\n RESPONSIBLITIES
\n Screens pap smears and non-gynecological slides and reports results according to established protocol.
\n Reviews patient history in association with screening cytology slides.
\n Documents workload and submits weekly reports for review. Reviews discrepant cases with Pathologist to improve quality patient care.
\n Maintains a False Negative Proportion (FNP) of± 1-2% of the lab average but does not exceed a 5% overall FNP.
\n Maintains an 80-100% Diagnostic Correlation with the Pathologist.
\n Maintains gyn statistical analysis rates of± 5% as compared to the laboratory's overall rates.
\n Maintains individual workload limit as set forth by the supervisor/director, derived from the employee's 6 month performance appraisal.
\n Completes special assignments as designated by the supervisor in a timely and professional manner.
\n Assists with Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) adequacy assessments throughout various procedure areas in the hospital.
\n Submission Requirements
\n Must have 2+ years of Cytotechnologist Technologist experience - [REQUIRED]
\n Cytotech with experience on ROSE/FNA adequacy assessments - [HIGHLY PREFERRED]
\n Must be registered as a Cytotechnologist through the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (CT-ASCP) OR registered as a Cytotechnologist with an International Accreditation (CT-IAC) - [REQUIRED]
\n Must have a Bachelor's degree in a Science related field OR have a Master's degree in a Science related field if a Bachelor's degree is in a non-science related field - [REQUIRED]
\n Previous travel experience - [HIGHLY PREFERRED]
