Requirement:

- 2 Years of Experience as X-Ray Tech - Required \n
- Must have: Fluoroscopy and Trauma Experience \n
- ARRT (R) and BLS Cert Required. \n
Job Summary:
\n We're seeking an experienced Travel X-Ray Technologist for a 13-week assignment with a leading healthcare facility. The X-Ray Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic radiographic examinations while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and exceptional care. This role works closely with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to produce accurate diagnostic images, maintain imaging equipment, and adhere to radiation safety standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and committed to delivering outstanding patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Duties

- Perform routine and specialized diagnostic X-ray examinations as ordered by physicians. \n
- Prepare, position, and instruct patients to obtain high-quality diagnostic images. \n
- Operate and maintain radiographic equipment according to departmental protocols. \n
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety (ALARA) principles and utilize appropriate shielding techniques. \n
- Verify patient identity, review physician orders, and obtain relevant clinical history before imaging procedures. \n
- Evaluate image quality to ensure diagnostic accuracy and repeat studies only when necessary. \n
- Assist radiologists and physicians during diagnostic and fluoroscopic procedures as required. \n
- Monitor patients during imaging procedures and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition. \n
- Maintain accurate patient records and complete documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). \n
- Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and quality assurance standards at all times. \n
- Perform routine quality control checks and report equipment malfunctions promptly. \n
- Collaborate effectively with radiologists, nurses, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure timely patient care. \n
- Educate patients regarding imaging procedures and answer questions to help reduce anxiety. \n
- Maintain patient confidentiality while adhering to HIPAA regulations and organizational policies. \n
- Adapt to varying patient volumes, departmental needs, and clinical environments throughout the travel assignment, \n
