Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
\n • Weekend requirements as needed to fill staffing needs
\n • Holiday requirements as needed to fill staffing needs
\n • No call or standby requirements
\n • Nurse to patient ratio of 1:4 on a 27-bed telemetry unit (expanding to 37 beds in June)
\n • Must have 2 years experience as a telemetry nurse
\n • Required experience with cardiac drips, NIH stroke assessment, post cath recovery, and chest tube management
\n • Must have experience with TR bands and Fem stops (will not pull sheaths)
\n • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
\n • BSN degree required
\n • Will float to like units and Med/Surg as needed, may also float to Boise Medical Center and Nampa Medical Center
\n • May float to ICU if experienced
\n • Read and document telemetry strips every 6 hours using SpaceLab monitors (transitioning to Philips)
\n • Care for patients with CHF, NSTEMI, STEMI, stroke, sepsis, diabetes, CAD, renal failure, respiratory failure, pneumothorax, and post cath lab patients
\n • Work with common cardiac drips including set rate diltiazem and amiodarone
\n • Any scrub color allowed as long as clean, well-kept, and professional
\n • System onboarding plus 2 orientation shifts
\n • Use EPIC charting system
\n • Must live outside 50-mile radius from facility

The facility maintains high-quality patient care standards with dedicated charge nurses, house supervisors, and support staff including telemetry technicians and nurse aides. The organization uses state-of-the-art monitoring equipment and is transitioning to advanced Philips monitoring systems while providing respiratory therapy support for complex patient needs.
