\nJob Details:
\n• 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts with possibility of 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts
\n • Position floats between units based on unit needs within surgical services and may assist other departments within scope
\n • Coverage areas include Pre-op, Post-op, Circulating, PACU, and Endoscopy
\n • Patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, and 1:4 depending on assignment
\n • On-call required: 8 shifts per month including 3-day weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
\n • Weekend requirement: every 3rd or 4th weekend depending on rotation and time off requests
\n • Block schedules not required
\n • 2-room OR with specialties including OBGYN, Ortho, GI/GS, ENT, Pain, and Dental
\n • Must be able to circulate C-sections (hard stop requirement)
\n • Must be experienced working in a critical access hospital
\n • Must be well-rounded in surgical services and able to follow patient from pre-op through discharge
\n • Patients include adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
\n • EMR system: Epic (experience required)
\n • Scrub color: any color; OR scrubs provided
\n • No parking fee
\n • Minimum 2 years of experience required
\n • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
\n • Valid Montana or Compact RN license required at time of submission
\n • Key skills required include: abdominal/vaginal hysterectomy, administration of blood and blood products, C-sections, cardiac monitoring, cholecystectomy, colonoscopy, conscious sedation monitoring, general OR, laparoscopic procedures, total joint replacement, wound management, and additional surgical procedures
Facility:
\nThis is a critical access hospital with 22 total staff beds, offering a full range of surgical services including a 2-room OR. The facility supports a comprehensive surgical department covering pre-operative, post-operative, circulating, PACU, and endoscopy services. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary services.
