Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU Days position requiring a New Mexico or Compact RN license and PALS certification.

Details\n

\n
• Work in the Post Surgical PACU unit of a hospital setting
\n
• Day shift schedule with four 10-hour rotating shifts from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM
\n
• Weekend requirement of two 12-hour weekend shifts per month with call (Saturday/Sunday counts as one weekend)
\n
• On-call requirement of one night per week
\n
• Floating required to other units within surgical services
\n
• Uses EPIC EMR system
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active New Mexico RN license or current Compact state RN license required
\n
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications via AHA required
\n
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
\n
• Minimum 1 year of relevant RN experience
\n

Additional Information\n

\n
• Coordinate and implement patient care specific to the age of the patient population served
\n
• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care
\n
• Participate in patient and family health education and discharge planning
\n
• Perform various Point of Care testing procedures
\n
• Wear graphite gray scrubs per facility dress code
\n
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility
\n
• Candidates who have previously worked at any CHRISTUS facility in a non-travel role must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for this travel assignment
