Our client, a leading organization in the construction industry, is seeking a Inventory Control Supervisor to join their team. As a Inventory Control Supervisor, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting onsite inventory management at a large-scale construction project. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, effective communication, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Inventory Control Supervisor
Location: Michigan City, IN
Pay Range: $25/hour
Shift: 7am-4pm, must be available for OT, weekends, holidays
What's the Job?
- Supervise and lead a team of 6–15 inventory personnel, providing training, direction, and performance management.
- Ensure all materials are accurately checked in against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
- Capture and verify serial numbers, lot numbers, and other unique material identifiers as required.
- Accurately input and maintain inventory data within the company’s Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Monitor and maintain real-time inventory accuracy as materials are issued and consumed throughout the project lifecycle.
What's Needed?
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred.
- 3–5+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or materials management; construction site experience strongly preferred.
- Prior supervisory or team leadership experience required.
- Strong experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory tracking tools.
- Proven ability to manage inventory accuracy, cycle counting programs, and reconciliation processes.
