Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Lockport Rehab and Health Care Center in Lockport, NY is looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our therapy team. Our state-of-the-art facility combines modern rehabilitation technology with a warm, family-like atmosphere — at Lockport, you are family. The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) provides individualized care to short-term rehab patients and long-term residents in a setting built on dignity, compassion, and respect.

Prior nursing home experience is NOT required for the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position — we welcome SLPs from hospital, outpatient, school, or any other setting.

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Duties

• Evaluate and treat residents for speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders

• Develop and carry out individualized plans of care

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary rehab and nursing team

• Document evaluations, progress, and outcomes

• Educate residents and families on communication and swallowing strategies

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Compensation and Schedule

• Salary: $88,000 – $95,000 per year

• Full-time

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Qualifications

• Active New York State Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license

• Skilled nursing facility (SNF) / long-term care (LTC) experience is not required
