Workplace Type: Hybrid (on-site up to 3 days per week)


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Evaluate financial transactions and prepare journal entries in accordance with U.S. GAAP and established accounting policies.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of reconciling items.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including supporting schedules and related documentation.
  • Perform variance analysis by investigating and explaining differences between actual results and budget, forecast, or prior-period performance.
  • Collaborate with accounting, finance, and cross-functional business teams to ensure accurate transaction recording and resolve accounting issues or non-routine transactions.
  • Support the annual financial statement audit by preparing schedules, providing documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses to support management decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and support initiatives to enhance accounting procedures and internal controls.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • CPA designation preferred
  • 4+ years of relevant accounting experience, or an additional 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, or a combination of both.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience working with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
