Outpatient Counselor

Purpose:
· To monitor and track clients' progress of assigned caseload.
· To provide individual and group outpatient counseling services for an assigned caseload of clients.

Supervision Received:
· Receives direct supervision from the Manager, Outpatient Mental Health.

Supervision Exercised:
· N/A

Qualifications:
· M.A./M.S./M.Ed. in the Social Sciences, Healthcare, or a related field; at least 2 years experience in the
MH/MR field. Prior experience in an outpatient setting helpful.
· Good communication skills.
· Good writing (documentation) skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Knowledge of mental health systems and supports.
