Shift: 5:45 AM - 6:15 PM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Experience with Meditech is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Required Skills/Experience: - Must have ventilatory skills. - Must be able to work independently.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Pediatrics experience would be helpful but is not required.

Preferred Credentials: - CRT acceptable; RRT preferred.

Unit Details: - Covers inpatient, outpatient, and ED respiratory care. - Mostly adult patients, with pediatric and neonatal patients seen in the ED and occasional L&D neonates. - Inpatient duties include vent management, ABG draws, CPAP/BiPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, nebulizer treatments, MDIs, and flutter/airway clearance. - Outpatient duties include setting up nocturnal pulse oximetry and blood gases. - RTs assist with intubation rather than intubating independently. - 50-75+ treatments per day depending on census. - Day coverage typically includes 2 RTs for inpatient and 1 RT for outpatient; nights may have 1 RT covering inpatient. - One RT may be assigned to the ER and will have a lighter load that day. - There is no supervisor, lead RT, or charge RT; the manager is available 24/7 and on call for weekends and overnights. - Equipment includes Hamilton Medical C1 and C3 vents, Masimo SoftFlow high flows, Masimo pulse oximeters, GEM5000 ABG analyzer, and ResMed bedside CPAP/BiPAP. - Hospitalist or intensivist is in house during the day and on call at night.

Shift & Scheduling: - Mainly day shift, but occasional other shifts may be needed. - Every other weekend. - Holiday coverage as needed.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years

Driver’s license required for submission

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)
