Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Tele Stepdown/PCU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a progressive care/telemetry setting. The RN will assess, monitor, and treat patients requiring cardiac monitoring and intermediate-level care while collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team. Candidates should be comfortable caring for PCU patients, floating to Medical-Surgical units as needed, and responding effectively to changes in patient condition.

Requirements:

  • Active RN license in the state of practice.

  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.

  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required (may be completed during orientation if applicable).

  • Minimum 2 years of Telemetry/Stepdown/PCU experience preferred.

  • ICU experience is a plus.

  • Experience with telemetry monitoring, cardiac care, and progressive care patients preferred.

  • Willingness to float to Medical-Surgical units as needed.

  • Experience with TruBridge EMR/charting system preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, monitor, and care for patients requiring telemetry and progressive care services.

  • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to physician orders and facility protocols.

  • Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize changes in patient condition.

  • Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.

  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.

  • Float to Medical-Surgical units as assigned to support patient care needs.

  • Adhere to all facility policies, patient safety standards, and infection prevention guidelines.

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
