Apex Therapeutic Services is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to support students across school settings in The Bronx. We have immediate openings for nurses to provide one-on-one care for students with special needs as well as healthcare assistance during school bus transportation.
As a School RN, you’ll play an essential role in promoting student health, safety, and well-being.

Responsibilities One-to-One School Nurse
- Provide individualized nursing care to students with special medical needs, including medication administration, vital sign monitoring, and emergency response.
- Create and follow individualized care plans in coordination with families, healthcare providers, and school staff.
- Maintain open communication with parents, teachers, and related professionals about the student’s health status and progress.
- Advocate for appropriate accommodations and support services within the school environment.
Transportation Nurse
- Support students with medical needs during school bus transportation, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Monitor health status and administer necessary medications or treatments during transit.
- Coordinate with bus drivers, school administrators, and parents regarding logistics and any health concerns or emergencies.
- Ensure medical supplies and equipment on school buses are available, organized, and properly maintained.
Requirements
- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Current BLS certification.
- At least one (1) year of professional nursing experience.
