Job Details- Position: Surgical Technologist
- Location: Burien
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks
- Shift: Day Shift
- Schedule: 5x8
- Experience Required: 2 Years
- Weekly Pay: $2000 to $2190
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments, equipment, and surgical supplies before procedures
- Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures using strict aseptic techniques
- Assist surgeons by passing instruments, sutures, sponges, and surgical supplies during operations
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to promote efficient workflow during procedures
- Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts before, during, and after surgery
- Prepare specialty instruments and equipment for various surgical cases
- Assist with patient positioning, skin preparation, and safe transfer before and after surgery
- Handle and properly label surgical specimens according to facility protocols
- Perform operating room turnover and prepare rooms for subsequent procedures
- Maintain compliance with infection prevention, sterilization, and patient safety standards
- Collaborate with surgeons, registered nurses, anesthesia providers, and perioperative staff to ensure outstanding patient care
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
- Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential preferred or required per facility policy
- Minimum 2 years of recent Surgical Technologist experience
- Current BLS Certification required
- Experience assisting with general surgery and multiple surgical specialties preferred
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and operating room procedures
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Ability to remain calm and efficient during routine and emergency surgical procedures
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Ability to stand for extended periods and actively participate throughout surgical procedures
