Med Surg Registered Nurse, Nights

Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) – Inpatient

Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM)
Compensation: $35–$50/hour based on experience
Shift Differentials:

• Weeknights: +$3.50/hour
• Weekends: +$5.00/hour

Retention Bonus: Up to $8,000 (paid in installments over 24 months)

A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to join their inpatient nursing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an RN who enjoys providing comprehensive patient care in a collaborative hospital environment while caring for a diverse patient population with a variety of medical and surgical needs.

The Med/Surg RN will provide direct patient care, complete assessments, develop individualized care plans, administer treatments and medications, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support safe and effective patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to acute care and post-surgical patients
• Complete patient assessments and identify changes in condition requiring intervention
• Develop and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and evaluate patient response
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and multidisciplinary care teams
• Prioritize care for patients with complex medical needs
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery
• Delegate appropriately and support team collaboration
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow clinical standards and policies
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Previous inpatient medical/surgical nursing experience preferred
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills

Required Certifications:

• BLS
• ACLS
