HR Generalist
Position Overview
Project ReDirect (PRD) is seeking an HR Generalist with a strong focus on operations, execution, and systems support. This role is responsible for ensuring that core HR processes run smoothly, accurately, and consistently across the organization.
The HR Generalist will lead and execute day-to-day coordination of onboarding, recruiting logistics, HR systems support, and administrative workflows. This role will serve as a key operational partner across HR and Payroll, working closely with the Payroll Manager to support alignment between employee data, systems, and payroll execution. The role will also provide backup support to HR leadership to maintain continuity across priorities.
This role is designed to grow over time, with the opportunity to take on expanded responsibility across HR operations, systems, and payroll coordination as the organization continues to scale.
Core Responsibilities
Onboarding & Employee Setup
● Manage and execute end-to-end onboarding processes
● Ensure all pre-employment documentation, system entries, and compliance steps are completed accurately and on time
● Coordinate new hire setup across systems, payroll, and benefits
● Track onboarding progress and resolve gaps quickly
Recruiting Coordination
● Post roles, schedule interviews, and coordinate candidate communications
● Maintain applicant tracking and ensure data accuracy
● Support offer generation and pre-employment processing
● Ensure a timely and organized hiring process across roles
HR Operations & Systems
● Serve as the first line of support for HR operations questions from employees and managers
● Provide escalation support for HRIS issues, including coordination with ADP Workforce Now
● Maintain accurate employee data, records, and system updates
● Support payroll processing, benefits administration, and required reporting
● Work closely with the Payroll Manager to support accuracy, timeliness, and alignment across payroll-related processes, including data validation, issue tracking, and coordination of system updates
Administrative & Process Support
● Execute routine HR administrative tasks with consistency and accuracy
● Support audits, compliance tracking, and documentation management
● Assist in improving and standardizing HR processes and workflows
● Maintain organized files, trackers, and reporting tools
Team Support & Coverage
● Provide backup support to the Head of HR and local HR Director
● Help ensure continuity of HR operations during absences or high-volume periods
● Support cross-functional coordination with Payroll, Finance, IT, and Operations as needed
Qualifications
● 3–5 years of HR experience with a strong emphasis on HR operations and administration
● Hands-on experience with onboarding, HR systems, and recruiting coordination
● Experience working with HRIS platforms; ADP experience strongly preferred
● High attention to detail and strong organizational discipline
● Ability to manage multiple processes simultaneously with minimal oversight
● Clear, direct communicator with a service-oriented mindset
● Demonstrated willingness to learn, take on increasing responsibility, and grow within an evolving HR function
Preferred
● Experience in multi-state environments
● Exposure to nonprofit or human services organizations
● Experience supporting payroll and compliance processes
