Health & Safety (HSE) Specialist

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments throughout manufacturing facilities.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company HSE policies, and environmental requirements.
• Investigate workplace incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventative actions.
• Deliver HSE training and new hire safety orientations.
• Monitor PPE compliance and workplace safety practices.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of HSE programs and management systems.
• Promote a positive safety culture through employee engagement and education.
• Maintain accurate safety documentation and reports.
• Collaborate with managers and employees to identify and reduce workplace hazards.
• Travel to company locations approximately once every 2–3 months as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related field preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience in an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) role within a manufacturing, industrial, plant, or field environment.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards.
• Experience conducting safety inspections, audits, incident investigations, and implementing corrective actions.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 is a plus.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel occasionally.
