Rebar Fabricator

Van Laan Construction Supply is recruiting for Rebar Fabricator. Van Laan is a West Michigan leader in wholesale and retail sales of construction supplies and services. Our specialties include rebar fabrication and concrete construction supply. We pride ourselves on providing our customers with exceptional service and best in the business industry experience.

This is a full time hourly position and offers a competitive hourly wage with overtime often available.

• Our team of Rebar Fabricators work with reinforcing bar used in concrete construction. We take stock lengths of rebar and cut to length, bend and fabricate to the configurations required for each individual order.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist in operating rebar fabrication equipment
• Assist in all other phases of the rebar fabrication process
• Assist in the routine maintenance of all equipment and machinery
• Assist in loading customers
• Assist in unloading incoming deliveries

Qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• Must demonstrate a commitment to exceptional customer service
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills who works well in a team and possesses a positive can do attitude
• Basic construction and mechanical knowledge are highly beneficial
• Experience with Hi-Lo operation is beneficial
• Must be of good moral character and possess a high level of integrity
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
