Radio Programmer

Job Title: Radio Programmer
Location: 78589, TX
Employment Type: 13 week contract, potential for full-time hire
Hours: 50 hours

Per Diem: $125/day
Shift: Day Shift

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Triage handheld radios and belt packs requiring service
• Apply company code plugs and encryption keys
• Program and configure radios for specific user groups (security, facilities, operations, etc.)
• Perform software and firmware updates
• Run radio testing sequences and review pass/fail results
• Maintain and update radio databases
• Audit radio inventories and user assignments
• Track missing, inactive, or unassigned radios
• Process radio deployments and returns
• Support documentation and reporting activities
• Assist with radio tuning and testing activities as needed

Requirements:

• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Strong computer literacy
• Strong Excel skills (sorting, filtering, basic formulas)
• Extremely organized and detail-oriented
• Comfortable managing equipment inventories and databases
• Experience with handheld radios, communications equipment, or technical asset management preferred
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• RF knowledge is a plus but not required
• Experience with Motorola or Riedel systems is a plus but can be trained
• Experience with radio rental houses, communications providers, or event communications support is highly transferable
