Job Summary
The Point Men's Clothing Lounge is seeking an energetic, customer-focused Assistant Store Manager to help lead our team at MarketStreet in Lynnfield. We're more than just a clothing store—we're a destination for elevated menswear, exceptional service, and building lasting relationships with our customers.
As Assistant Store Manager, you'll partner with the Store Manager to oversee daily operations, inspire the sales team, deliver an outstanding shopping experience, and help grow the business through exceptional customer service, merchandising, and community engagement. This is a hands-on leadership role perfect for someone who loves fashion, sales, and creating memorable customer experiences.
What You'll Do
- Support the Store Manager in all aspects of daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Deliver a luxury-level customer experience by building genuine relationships with clients and providing personalized styling recommendations.
- Lead by example on the sales floor, driving individual and team sales performance while meeting store goals.
- Coach, motivate, and develop team members through ongoing feedback and training.
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and scheduling employees.
- Maintain visually appealing merchandising displays that reflect The Point's brand and seasonal collections.
- Process sales, returns, and exchanges accurately using the POS system.
- Assist with inventory management, receiving shipments, replenishment, transfers, and cycle counts.
- Help execute in-store events, trunk shows, community partnerships, and promotional initiatives.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment.
- Ensure company policies, operational procedures, and cash handling standards are followed.
What We're Looking For
- 1-2 years of retail leadership or management experience (fashion or specialty retail preferred).
- Passion for men's fashion, styling, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Proven ability to drive sales while building long-term customer relationships.
- Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills.
- Comfortable leading a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Experience with POS systems, inventory management, and daily retail operations.
- Highly organized with excellent time management and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in luxury, boutique, or specialty apparel retail.
- Clienteling or personal styling experience.
- Visual merchandising experience.
