Physical Therapist Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and ongoing patient assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to maximize functional outcomes.
- Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions and supervise Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs).
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and home exercise programs.
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory and facility standards.
- Mentor therapy staff while promoting best clinical practices and quality patient care.
Qualifications
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
- Active, unrestricted Kentucky Physical Therapist license (or ability to obtain prior to start).
- Skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care experience preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and leadership skills.
- Passion for geriatric rehabilitation and helping patients achieve their highest level of independence.
