Hospital Pharmacist | Kerrville, Texas

A hospital-based pharmacist position is available to support a 120-bed community hospital in Kerrville, TX. This contract role offers a dynamic environment requiring strong clinical skills and adaptability to diverse pharmacy duties.

Location: Kerrville, TX
Type: Contract (13 weeks+)
Start Date: Immediate or ASAP
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday day shifts (start times at 7 am, 8 am, or 9 am)
• Coverage every 4th weekend
• Potential shift to 2nd shift (11:45 am – 10:15 pm, 10-hour shifts) may arise; flexibility highly valued

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and safely to hospital patients
• Utilize hospital IT systems including Meditech for patient records, MedKeeper for IV management, and Omnicell for medication dispensing
• Provide pharmaceutical care and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal medication therapy
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Assist in managing medication inventory and storage conditions

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Current pharmacist license in Texas required
• Proven hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Familiarity with Meditech, MedKeeper, and Omnicell systems is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing shift schedules
