Customer Service Professional

• Title: Customer Service Professional
• Location: Jacobi Medical Center Bronx New York
• Pay Rate: $22–$27/hour

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 2+ years of customer service or call center experience
• Bilingual (facility-specific requirement)
• Previous experience in a high-volume call center environment
• Payroll knowledge is required
• Experience as a Payroll Clerk, Payroll Coordinator, Payroll Administrator, Payroll Specialist, Timekeeper, Payroll Manager, or similar role within the last few years
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent active listening and customer service skills
• Strong problem-solving, research, and documentation abilities
• Experience handling escalated customer concerns professionally
• Computer proficiency and ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously
• Organized with strong attention to detail

Responsibilities:

• Answer inbound and/or outbound customer calls
• Respond to payroll-related questions and resolve customer inquiries
• Research issues and provide accurate, timely resolutions
• Document customer interactions thoroughly and accurately
• De-escalate difficult customer situations while maintaining professionalism
• Provide exceptional customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
• Navigate multiple computer systems while assisting customers
• Support additional customer service and administrative tasks as assigned
