Hospital Pharmacist in Ingram, TX

A hospital pharmacist opportunity is available at a 120-bed community hospital located nearby. This contract role offers a dynamic work environment with patient-focused care and diverse pharmacy operations within a hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately to inpatients and outpatients following hospital protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective medication use.
• Manage medication inventory and utilize IT systems including Meditech, MedKeeper for IVs, and Omnicell.
• Participate in weekend coverage on a rotating schedule.
• Adapt to potential shift changes, including possible transition to second shift (10-hour shifts).

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Texas pharmacist license required.
• Proven experience in hospital pharmacy settings.
• Familiarity with Meditech, MedKeeper, and Omnicell preferred.
• Flexibility to work Monday through Friday day shifts, with every fourth weekend coverage.
• Willingness to adapt to scheduling changes, including possible evening shifts.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday day shifts starting between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM.
• Coverage required every fourth weekend.
• Potential shift adjustment to second shift: 11:45 AM to 10:15 PM (10-hour shifts).

Location:

• Based near Ingram, TX with placement in a community hospital in Kerrville, TX.
