CNC Saw Operator

Job Description =

• Operate Computer Numerical Controlled Saws to cut Plastic sheets, rods or tubing into parts used for Medical Devices, Construction Materials and Consumer Goods.
• Read blueprints or work orders to understand dimensions and tolerances
• Set up and adjust CNC saw machines as needed
• Load plastic materials (acrylic, PVC, polycarbonate, etc.)
• Monitor cuts for accuracy and quality
• Measure finished parts using tools (calipers, micrometers and tape measures)
• Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting
• Follow safety procedures (important with fast-moving blades)

Skillset

• Basic math (fractions, measurements, conversions)
• Mechanical aptitude
• Attention to detail
• Ability to read technical drawings
• Comfort working around machinery

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience in manufacturing or machining (preferred, not always required)
