This contract opportunity offers you the chance to support students of various age groups, working primarily in the school health room to address their daily medical and healthcare needs. Assignments are available in elementary, middle, and high school settings, allowing you to apply your skills in environments where they’re truly valued.

Position Details:

  • On-site only position—remote/virtual is not available
  • School year assignment from August 10, 2026 to May 28, 2027
  • Hours: Approximately 7 hours per day; PRN (part-time/substitute/per-diem) roles with potential for full-time based on the district’s needs
  • Most assignments center around one school campus
  • Paid: $29–$30 per hour (based on experience and assignment type)
  • Orientation and training provided prior to placement; required at the district office with monthly orientation classes

Preferred Experience and Requirements:

  • Active, unrestricted Florida LPN license
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current, valid CPR/BLS certification
  • Previous experience in a school environment is a plus
  • Must complete or verify Florida school district fingerprints via the AHCA Clearinghouse; additional district badging required
  • Exceptional communication, adaptability, and teamwork skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver student-centered care for minor health needs, chronic conditions, and emergencies
  • Maintain accurate health records and documentation per school policy
  • Communicate health concerns and foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families
  • Participate in orientation and ongoing training
