Kelly Services is currently hiring a Maintenance Technician for a leading food manufacturing facility in Affton, MO. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity offering a consistent rotating schedule, competitive pay, and the opportunity to join a growing maintenance team.
Pay- $30-$37 per hour - based on experience
3rd Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts)
Rotating 2-Week Schedule:
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
- Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday
As a Maintenance Technician, you will help keep production equipment and facility systems operating safely and efficiently. You'll perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, complete equipment repairs, and support production teams in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment and complete all required documentation.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment to minimize downtime.
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, modifications, and improvement projects.
- Support production line operators by responding quickly to maintenance requests.
- Conduct root cause analysis and document findings to prevent recurring issues.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Maintain compliance with food safety, HACCP, GMP, and company safety standards.
- Support facility and utility systems as needed.
- Work safely and effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while adapting to changing production needs.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Basic math skills and the ability to complete maintenance documentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable working 12-hour overnight shifts.
- Experience in food manufacturing.
- Technical school training or a maintenance-related degree/certification.
- Welding experience.
- Mechanical power transmission experience.
- Experience with facility utilities and support equipment.
- Refrigeration or ammonia refrigeration experience.
- Two-year technical degree in an industrial maintenance-related field.
- 10+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
