American Traveler is seeking a Sonographer with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week acute care assignment, with ARDMS (RDMS) certification and proficiency in general, OB/GYN, small parts, and Doppler ultrasound studies.

- Acute care hospital setting, Ultrasound department with 3 scanner rooms \n
- Patient population includes general, OB/GYN, small parts, and vascular Doppler (upper and lower extremities) cases \n
- Average of approximately 10 scans/studies per day \n
- Equipment includes two GE machines and one Philips machine \n
- EMR system is Epic; PACS system is Synapse \n
- Primary schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM, with some 8-hour shift coverage (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM) \n
- Rotating weekday on-call required, approximately 2–3 times per week, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 AM \n
- Weekends and holidays are on-call only \n
- No floating to other areas required \n
- Radiologist is on-site on Wednesdays only \n

- Minimum of 2 years of ultrasound technologist experience \n
- Active ARDMS certification — RDMS (OB, AB, or General) required; pending certifications are not accepted \n
- Current BLS (AHA) required \n
- Proficiency in general ultrasound, OB/GYN, small parts, and Doppler studies of upper and lower extremities \n
- Epic EMR experience preferred \n
- License required if applicable — active state or compact (NLC) licensure required; pending licenses will not be accepted \n
- Valid driver's license required \n
- Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates (KS is a 60-mile radius state; driver's license used to confirm permanent address) \n
- 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire \n

- Perform general ultrasound, OB/GYN, small parts imaging, and vascular Doppler studies of the arms and legs \n
- A radiation badge is required and must be provided prior to starting the assignment \n
- Orientation is approximately 12 hours; candidates are expected to be on-site in state for the week of orientation, even if initial modules are completed remotely \n
- Any professional scrub colors are acceptable; scrubs are not provided by the facility \n
- Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by a CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates employed PRN through outside firms will be considered \n
- Local candidates are accepted; candidates in KS must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates \n
