  • Schedule: 4x10-Hour Day Shifts (6:00 AM – 4:30 PM)

  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (two call weekend shifts per contract)

  • On-Call Requirement: 9–10 call days per month

  • Patient Population: Adult

  • Average Daily Volume: Approximately 11 procedures

  • Cath Lab Suites: 3 Procedure Rooms

Position Summary\n

The Cath Lab RN provides comprehensive nursing care before, during, and after invasive cardiovascular and interventional procedures. This role includes patient assessment, procedural monitoring, administration of medications and moderate sedation, maintaining a sterile environment, assisting physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures, and advocating for patient safety throughout the entire procedural experience.

The department performs a broad range of cardiac, vascular, structural heart, and interventional radiology procedures, making this an ideal assignment for experienced Cath Lab travelers seeking diverse clinical exposure.

Responsibilities\n
    \n
  • Deliver high-quality nursing care throughout all phases of cardiac catheterization procedures.
  • \n
  • Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac, vascular, and structural heart procedures.
  • \n
  • Monitor patients receiving procedural sedation and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
  • \n
  • Administer cardiac medications, vasopressors, emergency medications, antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, and reversal agents.
  • \n
  • Perform rhythm interpretation and obtain 12-lead ECGs.
  • \n
  • Monitor Activated Clotting Time (ACT) and assist with sheath removal and vascular closure techniques.
  • \n
  • Maintain sterile technique, infection prevention standards, radiation safety, and patient advocacy.
  • \n
  • Collaborate with physicians, technologists, anesthesia, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
  • \n
  • Participate in scheduled call coverage and emergency procedures.
  • \n
Required Qualifications\n
    \n
  • Active Arkansas RN License or Compact State RN License
  • \n
  • BLS (AHA)
  • \n
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • \n
  • Minimum 2 year of Cath Lab experience
  • \n
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • \n
  • Experience circulating Cath Lab procedures
  • \n
  • Experience with procedural sedation monitoring
  • \n
  • Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills
  • \n
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced procedural environment
  • \n

This assignment is ideal for an experienced Travel Cath Lab RN with strong interventional cardiology experience who thrives in a high-acuity procedural setting and is comfortable taking call while working alongside an experienced cardiovascular team.
