American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at an acute care hospital in Arizona, requiring active EFM certification and a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience.

- 16-bed LDRP unit with 2 OB ORs and 6 triage rooms in an acute care hospital setting \n
- Level II maternity unit caring for patients as early as 32 weeks gestational age \n
- Approximately 1,000 births per year \n
- Patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines \n
- RNs are responsible for reading and interpreting EFM tracings; EFM system used is Fetalink \n
- Titratable drips required, including Pitocin \n
- OB Techs and a front desk scheduler support the unit; OB and Neonatologist are on call 24/7 \n
- Charge Nurse and House Supervisor are both available on the unit \n
- Respiratory equipment on unit includes CPAP; ventilator initiation and transport out is performed when needed \n
- EMR: Cerner PowerChart Maternity \n
- 12-hour night shifts on a 4-week scheduling cycle \n
- Every other weekend (EOW) requirement; one full weekend every 3 weeks \n
- One major and one minor holiday coverage required \n
- On-call requirement of 18 hours per 4-week schedule \n
- First to float policy applies to this position \n

- Active AZ RN license or Compact (NLC) RN license currently in hand; pending licenses are not accepted \n
- Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required \n
- Required certifications (must be active, no pending certifications accepted): BLS (AHA) and Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) — AWHONN preferred but other certifications accepted \n
- Proficiency in EFM interpretation, sterile vaginal exams (SVEs), IV starts, and Magnesium Sulfate management \n
- Cerner EMR experience preferred \n
- Must pass the Relias Dysrhythmia exam prior to offer confirmation \n
- Must pass a sterile technique skills test (Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes) on the first day of orientation \n
- Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire \n
- Valid driver's license required \n

- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (permanent address as shown on driver's license is used to verify eligibility) \n
- Candidates who have been directly employed full-time, part-time, or PRN by any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility (including CHI and/or Dignity) within the past year are not eligible; candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered \n
- Hospital-laundered scrubs are provided \n
- Unit-specific orientation is provided (12 orientation hours) \n
- Failing the Relias Dysrhythmia exam or sterile technique test on a second attempt results in a 6-month ineligibility period for CommonSpirit Arizona facilities \n
