American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Labor & Delivery (Birthing Center) position in Middlebury, Vermont, requiring at least 1 year of LDRP experience and Epic proficiency.

- Work setting is a hospital Birthing Center in Middlebury, Vermont \n
- Night shift position, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM \n
- Schedule is primarily 3x12s per week, with flexibility for a mix of 12-hour and 8-hour shifts to meet unit needs (e.g., 2x12s and 2x8s) \n
- 36 hours per week; block schedules are not permitted for any reason \n
- Minimum every other weekend availability required; schedule may be adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs \n
- Floating required to Med/Surg and ED units \n
- Experience required in all areas of the birthing department: Labor, Delivery, Postpartum Care, and Newborn Care \n
- Epic EMR used; recent experience required \n
- 16-week assignment \n

- Active RN license — Vermont or Compact license accepted; candidates with proof of a pending New York license will also be considered \n
- Current AHA BLS and NRP certifications required \n
- Minimum 1 year of LDRP experience required \n
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is required and non-negotiable \n
- At least two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor are required for consideration (one from within the past 6 months, one from within the past year) \n
- SSN and DOB required for consideration \n
- Reliable personal or rental vehicle required — public transportation is not accessible in this area \n
- Vehicle must be equipped with all-season or snow tires during November through April \n

- Prior travel nursing experience preferred, though not required — first-time travelers will be considered \n
- Bi-weekly orientations held on Mondays \n
- Pay rates are tiered based on distance from the facility: Travel (101+ miles), Radius (51–100 miles), and Local (50 miles or less) — local candidates are accepted \n
- Holiday coverage is expected per unit scheduling needs; schedule runs Monday through Sunday \n
- Facility is very strict regarding complete and accurate profile information; any incomplete submissions may be disqualified from consideration \n
- All employment gaps of more than 90 days must be explained \n
