Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position at a Level 2 Trauma teaching hospital in Rome, GA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience and the ability to scrub and circulate both Cath and EP procedures.

  • Work setting is a 361-bed Level 2 Trauma designated teaching hospital with a Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center
  • \n
  • Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory unit handling Cath Lab and EP procedures
  • \n
  • Cath Lab patient types include chest pain, LHC, RHC, PTCA, and stent procedures; EP cases include ablations, loop recorders, and pacemaker/defibrillator placement
  • \n
  • 4x10-hour day shifts (0700–1730) on a 6-week schedule cycle
  • \n
  • On-call required 1 day per week and 1 weekend every 4th–5th weekend, with a 30-minute response time requirement
  • \n
  • RNs will float to the Cath Lab Prep/Recovery area
  • \n
  • Weekend rotation details are discussed during the interview
  • \n
  • EMR is Epic

Requirements\n

  • Active RN license — GA state or Compact license required
  • \n
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • \n
  • Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required, with most recent experience within the last year
  • \n
  • Proficiency in scrubbing and circulating both Cath and EP procedures required
  • \n
  • Ability to administer moderate sedation, titrate and manage critical drips, and prep/recover patients
  • \n
  • Experience with Cath Lab-specific equipment: BBG, ACT, Balloon Pumps, and Impella
  • \n
  • Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
  • \n
  • Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
  • \n

  • Responsibilities include circulating Cath and EP procedures, administering moderate sedation, managing critical drips, and providing patient prep and recovery care
