RN - Medical Surgical / Telemetry

\n

Job Details:

\n

• 36-40 hours per week with overtime billable after 40 hours
\n • Every 3rd weekend required with holiday rotation if scheduled
\n • No on-call responsibilities
\n • Work in a 16-bed unit with a 5:1 patient ratio
\n • Patient types include telemetry, post-operative surgical, orthopedic, and general surgery patients
\n • Responsible for reading and measuring telemetry strips
\n • Administer drips including insulin, Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone
\n • Minimum 24 months of Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry experience in a hospital or medical center setting required
\n • Orthopedic and general surgery care experience required
\n • EPIC charting experience required
\n • Telemetry experience preferred
\n • First-time travelers accepted with a minimum of 24 months of current nursing experience
\n • Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
\n • Active Iowa license or compact/multistate license required
\n • Skills checklist specific to Medical Surgical or Medical Surgical/Telemetry required
\n • Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the last 24 months preferred
\n • Valid driver's license required
