American Traveler is seeking an experienced Oncology RN for a night shift travel position requiring BLS and ONS/ONCC Chemo certification with a 1:4 patient ratio.

- Inpatient oncology unit within a hospital setting \n
- Patient ratio of 1:4, though ratios may vary based on census and acuity when floating \n
- Patient population includes oncology cases with a focus on chemotherapy administration, biotherapy, and management of oncologic emergencies such as anaphylaxis and sepsis \n
- Key skills include IV therapy/infusions, port access and management, chemotherapy administration (IV push, continuous infusion), body fluid handling post-chemotherapy, cytotoxic spill management, and monitoring for chemotherapy side effects \n
- Charting via Epic \n
- Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM \n
- Every other weekend required based on unit needs \n
- Floating required within skillset; may include floating to the main New Brunswick campus, accessible via a pedestrian bridge \n

- Active NJ or Compact RN license required \n
- Required certifications: BLS and Chemo (ONS/ONCC); ACLS preferred \n
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required \n
- SSN and DOB required for consideration \n
- Two current professional references required \n

- First-time travelers are welcome to apply \n
- Local candidates are accepted \n
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted and approved prior to offer; RTO requested after an offer will not be accommodated \n
- Candidates available to work 2 of 3 holidays and with fewer than 7 days of RTO requested will be prioritized \n
- Block scheduling is not available \n
- Previous charge nurse experience is preferred \n
- Former RWJBH staff (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the health system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment \n
- Candidates who fail competency exams must wait 6 months before reapplying \n
- Navy blue scrubs required \n
- Non-billable orientation modules must be completed prior to start date, averaging approximately 18 hours for RNs \n
