Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU night shift position requiring cardiac experience and the ability to float across multiple campuses.

  • Work in the ICU of a community hospital setting
  • \n
  • 13-week assignment on night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:00)
  • \n
  • No blocked scheduling permitted
  • \n
  • Cardiac patient population including post-cath intervention, balloon pump, and Impella cases
  • \n
  • Must be willing to float to all three campuses (Ontario, Bucyrus, Galion) as needed
  • \n
  • On-call responsibilities required, with a 1-hour arrival time when called in
  • \n
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • Active OH or compact RN license required, no pending licenses accepted
  • \n
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • \n
  • Minimum 2 years of recent, continuous ICU experience required
  • \n
  • Cardiac experience preferred, including post-cath intervention, balloon pump, and Impella management
  • \n
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • \n
  • Skills required include cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management and interpretation, IV therapy, arterial and central line management, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilator patient care, and ETT/NT suctioning
  • \n
  • Two recent supervisory references required for consideration
  • \n

  • Provide critical care nursing services to ICU patients including cardiovascular and respiratory/thoracic cases
  • \n
  • No RTO approved for major holidays or the surrounding holiday week
  • \n
  • Locals accepted at the same bill rate
  • \n
  • Work at a smoke-free facility and campus
  • \n
  • Former permanent employees must wait at least 6 months before being considered for this position
  • \n
  • Completion of up to 8 hours of non-billable pre-start modules required, recorded through HealthStream
  • \n
