\nProject Manager
\nJob Summary
\nUnder the direction of the Project Director, the Project Manager oversees and manages all aspects of a large commercial construction project, including but not limited to subcontracts, billings, payment applications, and all modifications to the project. Responsible for delivering a completed project on time and within the specified budget.
\nThis role is dedicated to a Westland Construction’s Fairbanks, Alaska project and requires relocation to Fairbanks for approximately 1.5 years. Housing and a vehicle are provided in addition to salary.
\nSupervisory Responsibilities

- Leads and coordinates the project team to ensure the project is completed on time, on budget, and to specifications. \n
- Delegates work and assignments to team members based on expertise, work experience, and time constraints. \n
- Supports the training, coaching, and mentoring of project staff. \n
Duties/Responsibilities
\n- \n
- Knowledgeable across multiple areas of the construction process. \n
- Fosters healthy and professional relationships with coworkers, subcontractors, and project owners. \n
- Manages the assigned project from inception to completion. \n
- Is involved in project planning, budgeting, and identification of resources needed. \n
- Monitors the progress of construction activities on a regular basis and holds or attends regular status meetings with the project team and all stakeholders. \n
- Develops and manages project documentation including but not limited to: progress reports, submittals, invoicing, purchase orders, schedules, RFIs, subcontracts, change orders, and associated logs. \n
- Leads regular project meetings with clients, architects, and engineers. \n
- Manages the construction process for the project and is responsible for understanding and allocating the financial aspects of the project. \n
- Communicates effectively with superintendents, clients, subcontractors, and management. \n
- Identifies and mitigates risk associated with subcontractors and suppliers. \n
- Edits and approves subcontractors’ scope of work. \n
- Conducts site inspections and visits throughout pre-construction and the construction process. \n
- Addresses questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the project. \n
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices. \n
- Performs other related duties as assigned. \n

Education and Experience
\n- \n
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, which may include Construction Management, Business, or Engineering. \n
- 4+ years of related experience required. \n
Physical Requirements
\n- \n
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. \n
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times. \n
- On-site presence at the Fairbanks, Alaska project location. \n
